Parcel poly stands for parceled items. It is a way of reducing logistics problems and solving logistical issues. It is the method of sending parcel parcels in a form of standardized documents. This technology has been developed by United States Postal Service for a long period. Initially, it was called ‘Parcel Transfer Machine (PTM),’ but after modification, it became known as parcel poly’ in 1987. As per government records, PTM was used from 1997 to 2001, therefore nowadays USPS calls them parcel poly as it was initially marketed under the same name. Apart from handling size, the size of the document also matters.
